This position is an integral part of the development and execution of the annual marketing plan to reach the company objectives. Preferred applicant should have a BS in marketing, agriculture, journalism or related field. Strong communication, attention to detail, solid writting and editing skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Products and experience with social media and digital skills required. Must be able to lift 40 lbs regularly with extended periods of sitting. Travel overnight 5%-10%. JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Marketing Specialist
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Marketing
WORKS CLOSELY WITH: All Departments of 21st Century Equipment, WaterTech and 21C Leasing
JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing Specialist will team up with the VP of Marketing to help with 21ST Century Equipment's overall marketing efforts. This position is an integral part of the development and execution of the annual marketing plan to reach the company objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all social media platforms daily
Collaborate closely with assigned agency partners to deliver digital advertising for social media and ecommerce
Collaborate closely with vendors to deliver local newspaper, radio, and magazine advertising
Collaborate with the assigned agency, to develop a table of contents, interview growers and ranchers, and author stories for the quarterly flyer
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and meet with growers and ranchers on the creation of video and/or images for content on multiple platforms, such as YouTube, Instagram, Linkedin and the company website
Cooperate with all locations to ensure employees have proper name plates and inventory (new and used) has the correct decals
Maintain company websites for images, promotions, location content, John Deere updates, web page additions, and other web editing duties as needed
Evaluate and respond to public evaluations on Google and other sources and distribute any questions to the proper department in a timely manner
Maintain, manage, and distribute promotional items such as hats, pens, and other giveaways
Design invitation postcards for Clinics, Lunch & Learns and other company events in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or another software
Attend Regional Sales, Aftermarket, Precision Agriculture, and other meetings as necessary
Participate in photoshoots to develop planned content
Organize parts touchscreens and on-hold content in each one of our sixteen locations
Establish purchase orders and submit all marketing invoices for payment from Accounts Payable as received by vendors
Submit all John Deere Co-Op expenses as they occur
SKILLS NECESSARY: strong communication, attention to detail, solid writing and editing skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Product Suite, and social media and digital skills
CHARACTERISTICS NECESSARY: enthusiasm, tenacity, time management, willingness to listen and learn, work ethic, initiative, and curiosity
EXPERIENCE: Agriculture Background Preferred but not necessary
EDUCATION: BS in, Marketing, Agriculture, Journalism or related field preferred but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must manage extensive periods of sitting. Must be able to lift forty pounds.
